What is happiness?
Everyone answers this question differently. For some, happiness is wealth. For some it’s success. For some it’s love.
But I think true happiness is actually much simpler than all of these.
Happiness is being at peace with yourself. It’s accepting yourself as you are, loving yourself.
Happiness is being grateful for what you have instead of constantly thinking about what you don’t have.
Happiness is living in the moment instead of constantly worrying about the past or future.
Happiness is being surrounded by people who love you, who value you.
Happiness is doing work you love, work that gives you meaning.
Happiness is having the courage to listen to your own inner voice instead of constantly seeking approval from others.
Happiness is not a destination. It’s a journey. You can’t say “I’ll be happy when I reach there.” You must be happy during the journey itself.
So let’s not postpone happiness. Let’s be happy now, today, at this moment. Because this moment is all we have…
