Hello to you all from Kyrenia where I’ve been staying for a few days. Today’s article will be a little different. I will share excerpts from a book I’ve been reading for a while:
I write the sentences I like even though I don’t know who the book belongs to…(Life Guide Author Unknown)
Life is beautiful…
When your path crosses with good people, respect them, recognize their value. Don’t let even a speck of dust touch them, carry them in your palm. Because good people are very rare. They don’t need anything from you. They don’t come close with intent. They’re there unconditionally. Look for good hearted people and stay with them. Don’t miss such people from your life. Don’t lose them. Such people are rare, very rare, there are few left. And miraculously, you encountered them in the chaos of life’s complex labyrinth. This is a blessing.
See the sparkle in your friend’s eyes. That joy in their voice. Feel their love.
And when you turn your back, don’t worry. They will only speak well of you with that beautiful heart of theirs. They will wish you well. They will protect your trust.
This can’t be found anywhere. It can’t be bought with money. It’s not taught in any school.
How lucky are those who have such friends!
Your eyes see as far as they can…
But you should know that, it’s not the eyes that see but the mind that illuminates. You look with your eyes, but you have to see with your mind.
As the great poet Aşık Veysel said;
“I traveled the world eye to eye”
Or when he said “The one who doesn’t know that roads are level thinks uphill and downhill are separate”
In fact, he draws attention to looking with the eyes of the mind and heart.
Winking our eyes at the light of the mind and observing what our eyes see with more consciousness, I think, produces more accurate data than just looking.
For example, I can see what I see around me even without glasses, very blurred and unclear, but just enough not to collide or fall. But if I put on my glasses, things become much clearer, even the slightest detail is visible and I can interpret the situation better and more accurately.
Just like this, observing our lives and relationships from time to time and being able to see correctly with the eye of the mind also makes us much happier. This requires the ability to stay alone with yourself. Because you can evaluate events more objectively when you’re alone. And make more accurate decisions.
I wish you a good weekend…
